FRANCIS JOHN CLARKE and SUSAN ( WEIR ) CLARKE

FRANK CLARKE (1883 - 1957) was the youngest son of James Ryerson Clarke and Harriet Collins. His father was a carpenter who lived with his family at Madoc Junction near Stirling Ontario. He was the grandson of James and Mary (Mason) Clarke who immigrated from Norfolk to Hastings County in 1837. They were a family with strong Methodist beliefs. He spent his early years at home and then attended Albert College in Belleville and the University of Toronto. During this period he also taught school and was a student minister.
